Selma Ottilia Lovisa Lagerlöf was a Swedish author. She was the first female writer to win the Nobel Prize in Literature, and is best remembered for her children's book "Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige" (The Wonderful Adventures of Nils).
